Nguyễn Minh Tiến two master’s degrees: one in performance studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and the other in history at the University of Edinburgh. His artistic and scholarly interests include modern and contemporary art, post-colonial and globalized youth identities, modern and folk Vietnamese music, and fashion studies.
